Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Signallpages, digital signatures, redactions, and legal paperbooks.
Can I sign all pages of a multi-page PDF at once?
Yes! Signallpages allows you to place your signature once and apply it automatically across all pages or any custom page range (e.g., 1-5, 8, 10-15) in under two seconds.
Are electronically signed documents legally binding?
Yes. Under the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 3 & 5), the US ESIGN Act of 2000, and the EU eIDAS regulations, electronic and cryptographic digital signatures are legally admissible in court.
What is the difference between a Visual Stamp and a Cryptographic PKCS#12 Signature?
A Visual Stamp renders an image or typed text of your signature onto the PDF page. A Cryptographic PKCS#12 Digital Signature embeds an X.509 certificate and private key encryption into the file binary, making it tamper-evident.
Is data redaction permanent and irreversible?
Yes. Signallpages Mask & Redact performs true vector stream redaction. Text glyphs and metadata matching PAN, Aadhaar, GSTIN, or custom search terms are permanently purged from the document binary, not simply covered with a black box.
How does the GST Appeal Paperbook Suite work?
The Paperbook Suite helps advocates and CAs assemble statutory appeal bundles (Covering Memo, Form GST APL-01, APL-02, Annexures, and dynamic Index) with automated consecutive Bates page numbering. You can also swap out individual pages in existing ready-made paperbooks.
Are my documents kept private and secure?
Absolutely. All uploads and downloads occur over 256-bit SSL encrypted channels. Files are stored in isolated cloud buckets and are never shared with third parties or used for model training.
Can I use Signallpages for free?
Yes! The Free Tier allows processing documents up to 5 pages with standard visual signing. Paid Professional and Enterprise plans unlock high page counts (up to 100 pages), PKCS#12 cryptographic signing, auto-redaction, and the full Paperbook Appeal Suite.
